We had a wonderful couple of water days as we wrapped up our school year. Thanks to the help and support of many volunteer parents we opened many stations for students to visit and explore at! A special thanks to Ryan's dad who agreed to participate in the water balloon toss and stayed pretty dry!

Wonderful Water Days
We had a wonderful couple of water days as we wrapped up our school year. Thanks to the help and support of many volunteer parents we opened many stations for students to visit and explore at! A special thanks to Ryan's dad who agreed to participate in the water balloon toss and stayed pretty dry!
Last day fun!
Thank you to Mrs. Potts, Mrs. Kearney and our friends from room 102. We had a great time today! |
Right up until the end, students in room 101 were working and having fun! This morning we did some pattern work, practiced graphing information, and did one final name writing worksheet. Then we went outside to play with a parachute with friends from room 102! We used our muscles to raise and lower the parachute while bouncing balls on it. Then we took turns running and dancing underneath it!
Mrs. Parnell and Mrs. Hoyt had a wonderful year with the students in room 101. Thank you for sharing your children with us.
Be sure to have a fun, family oriented summer. Please be sure to make time for reading everyday. Keep a journal. It will help with writing skills and will make for a great memory book to look at in years to come!

Pine Glen Student Council - planning fun activities
Student Council is asking that the PG community participate in two "fun" days to end the year.
Thursday, June 19th is Wacky Day...just for fun! Wear your wackiest outfit! (Note this is a room 101 water day - students do not need to have an additional special outfit.)
Friday, June 20th is School Spirit Day. Wear your GREEN! The students are asking that everyone pays $1.00 on Friday to support the Pine Glen PTO.
Participation is fun and optional.

We wrote with quills!
Boys and girls did not have pencils, pens, markers and crayons in Colonial times. We tried our hand at writing with quills today. It was a little messy.
We made solid figures!
As part of our final unit of Envision math we further explored solid figures. Using clay and craft sticks we built cubes! We were able to see the 6 flat surfaces shaped like squares!
