Read Across America!
**Important Please Read!**
Read Across America is a week long celebration of our love for reading! Read Across America day is on March 2nd, which is Dr. Suess’ birthday.
Follow along with the schedule to see how your child can celebrate with us. Thank you!
When: Monday, February 26th- Friday, March 2nd
Monday, February 26 - “Sleep Book” Students are welcome to wear their pajamas. We will start to share our favorite books on this day. Students should be prepared to share why it is special to them and why they think others should read it.
Tuesday, February 27- “Fox in Sox”- wear silly or mismatched socks. We will finish sharing our favorite books. (These books will stay at school until we are finished with our project).
Wednesday, February 28- “Wacky Wednesday” - Let’s get silly!
Wear your clothes backwards, inside out, or mismatched.
Thursday, March 1 - “Cat in the Hat”- cafeteria will offer “Green Eggs and Ham” today! Students are welcome to bring a book to school that they can read independently. We will be celebrating Read Across America by reading as a whole school! We will have Dr. Seuss activities with our 4th grade partners.
Friday, March 2 - Bring in a Dr. Seuss book to read and share! We will be Reading Across Pine Glen! We will be reading will 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th graders on this day!
