Animal Research Project Videos

Please see the videos below the Kindergartners and their 4th grade Buddies talking about their animal in the video. They had to prove how they knew their animal was living. Nice work on this collaboration everyone! We celebrated the culmination of our project with a party in the bag celebration.

We loved going up to our 4th grade partners classroom for this special viewing!

Protect the Popsicle Engineering Challenge

Last week we started our science unit on water. We are learning about the states of water, liquid, solid and gas. We have been reading Hey, Water and doing activities with this book. We did an experiment of ice in the sun and shade. and on Thursday morning the kindergartners worked with their 4th grade partners to discuss, plan and build a shade structure to protect the popsicle. We were supposed to test our structures Thursday afternoon, but the rain kept us from being able to do this. We hope to test our structures on Monday afternoon. Stay tuned.

Hoot of the Week, Hoots & Congratulations

Congratulations to Nolan who was the Kindergarten Hoot of the week! Way to go Nolan! This week was a short week with the Memorial Day holiday on Monday. Students continue to make progress in their learning apps and many earned Hoot cards for completing their 60 minutes of learning. We also had many at home reader charts turned in and one at home writer.
