This weeks highlights- October 15th-19th

We accomplished a lot this week. We read and highlighted our Roar like a Lion book. We read our Counting to Five book. We represented the numbers with our fingers and sky wrote the numbers in the air. We worked on our journals, letter boards and learned two new letters c and o and we learned how to write the number 7. We have continued to work on our 5 Little Pumpkins book. We started a new magnet book and learned more about Push and Pull, and learned about magnets. We also practiced our sight words and read a Let's Find Out about Spiders. We had Bus Safety, worked on topic 1 and ST Math.  We made it to 20% in ST Math and we made a cool web as a greeting in our Morning Meeting. We also opened some new centers- sand box, blocks and iPads. We made Halloween crafts with our 4th grade partners and practiced our fine motor skills. As you can see we have been BUSY!

Highlights from this week!

It was another busy week in Room 101. We visited our kindergarten friends in Room 109. We will visit Room 109 on Wednesdays. We learned about letters i and u in Fundations and the number 6. We have been working on Topic 1 in math and counting up to the number 5. We finished our animal books. We learned about the human body and made a Body book and we started making our pumpkin books. We have read a few Halloween books and sang some Halloween songs. We have also been learning a LOT about science. We have been learning more about the weather. We started two other units. One on Push and Pull and the other on Living vs Nonliving. It has been very hands on and engaging when we have been participating in the science lessons this week. We have been having a lot of fun while LEARNING! Thank you to Mrs. Brady and Mrs. Grant who helped us this week.
