On Wednesday we worked hard on our Envision Math Topic 13- Shapes. We worked on three math stations after completing our math mats. We constructed three dimensional shapes using clay and toothpicks. We made two dimensional shapes out of pipe cleaners and drew shapes in shaving cream. On Thursday, we used the geoboards to create shapes then we used the Geoband app on the iPad to recreate our shapes! We had a lot of fun at these math stations.
Mr. Musselman of the Burlington Science Center was in to visit Room 101 on Thursday. We learned about clouds! Cirrus, Cumulus and Stratus clouds.
This week Room 101 had the Kindergarten Hoot of the Week. Congratulations to Asante! We also had a a couple students get to a new percentage in ST Math and a couple students complete their next Boost Quest. We also had a couple more students turn in their April at home reading charts. Nice job Room 101!
On Friday, May 1st we went to the Stone Zoo with our 4th grade partners. We had a GREAT time! This trip was a perfect way to end our animal research project. The students were able to identify animals and tell how they knew the animals were living. The groups worked together to complete a scavenger hunt and then we picnicked all together! Thank you to Mrs. Trelegan, Mrs. Angeley, Ms. Strasser, Mr. Congini, Mrs. Delorenzo, Mrs. Costa, Mrs. Fennell who joined us to chaperone and shared pictures from the trip. This week we had many students earn their next percentage point in ST Math. We also had many students turn in their at home reading charts for the month of April. We had one student complete their next Boost level and we had two at home readers. Congratulations to all! Keep up the great work!
