Pine Glen Teacher Parade

Today was an AMAZING day! The Pine Glen teachers with the help of the Burlington Police Department, (especially Sergeant McDonough and Detective Tigges), enabled the teachers to go through the streets of the Pine Glen district and see our AWESOME students, families and community members. Mrs. Kearney and I were both overwhelmed with emotions when we saw all of our students, holding signs, waving, yelling that they missed us and to be able to see all those smiling faces that we miss so much. Please remember you are always in our thoughts. Please email or remind text if you need anything! We LOVE you ALL. ❤ If you are up for more journal writing a Thank you note to Sergeant McDonough and Detective Tigges would be a nice gesture. If you have any pictures you would like to share email them to parnell@bpsk12.org. Thanks!

I missed seeing Chase, CJ, Emma and Max F. I was too slow to get a picture of Hayden and Rose. They were at the very beginning of the parade.

Here is a video recorded by Katie Tauro, Pine Glen PTO president that she shared on Facebook. In case anyone missed the Teacher Parade, you can view it here!

March 26th - Read Aloud- Angelina and the Princess

Mrs. McAuley reads Angelina and the Princess with us today!
Angelina Ballerina hopes to have the starring role in the
Royal Ballet’s upcoming performance but is instead cast
in a small part.

Have you ever been so disappointed about not being
successful at something that you wanted to quit?
But we know not to quit...we work harder because we
have grit! See if you can FaceTime or call someone in
your family and ask them about a time they had to work
extra hard to do something when it was tricky.

Working hard and persevering will make your

Your kindergarten teachers know you are working hard
every day and we are cheering for you while you work
hard at home!  If you sing and record the song - send
it to us….we will only share on the blog if you want us to!

Sing for us!  We are singing and cheering for you!
If you know your teacher loves you blow her a kiss.
If you know your teacher loves you blow her a kiss.
If you know your teacher loves you and
she really likes to hug you...
If you know your teacher loves you blow her a kiss.

We think you are terrific!

Be sure to think some good thoughts!

March 25th- Read Aloud- The Ok Book

Today’s read aloud is brought to us by Pine Glen’s Learning
Commons teacher Ms. Small. She shared one of her favorite
books called The OK Book by Amy Krouse Rosenthal. In this
clever and visual play on words, OK is turned sideways, upside
down, and right side up to show that being OK can really be
quite great. Check out Ms. Small’s introduction where she
talks about things she is Ok at!

Intro:

Book:

Check out this song - Making Mistakes is OK!

Ms. Small asked what you are OK at. Write a journal entry
about what you are OK at doing and how you can be better
at it. Ms. Small said she was an OK reader and if she reads
more she will get even better! Share your journal thoughts
back to your teachers and we will share them with Ms. Small!

GoNoodle has a video on Trying Your Best!

If you want to set some goals for yourself check out this website.

Today’s Chant:

Good, better, best.
Never let it rest.
Until your good is better,

And your better is your best!
