CKLA - 5 Senses

 This week in CKLA we have been focusing on the 5 Senses. We had two fun work stations to reinforce our learning. On Wednesday we had a scent station. Students smelled different cups with soaked cotton balls in them that had 8 different scents, coffee, dill pickles, flowers, maple syrup, vanilla, detergent, lemons and apples. On Friday we had a touch station. The Burlington Science Center sent over a touch kit and students worked with a partner to feel different objects.  Both these stations were fun and engaging.

4th Grade Partners

 

This week when we met with 4th grade we wore the bat hats and candy corn necklaces that we made last week and we did the movements to the spider on the floor song by Raffi with our plastic spiders. We took pictures with our 4th grade partners and worked on a Let's Find Out about square pumpkins!

Happy Birthday & Congratulations

 We celebrated Asante's birthday on Friday. We sang Happy Birthday, and he received a crown, book, pencil and certificate. We hope you have a great birthday! Congratulations to the many students who earned percentage certificates in ST Math and to all the students who earned hoot cards for working hard on ST Math.
