Yea for the 100th Day!

Today we celebrated our 100th Day of Kindergarten. We are 100 days smarter! We had a great day. We dressed in our 100 bead necklaces, our 100 dot crowns and posed with our 100 stamped mats this morning. We then went down the hall and had our Morning Meeting and shared our 100 Collections. We then practiced our number words with the help of Dr. Jean and her Singing the Numerals song. Next we had our 100 Day Workout and 100 Day Dance Party with the help of the Pine Glen 5th Graders.

Our day got even better when Ms. Pavilcek came with Olive the rabbit. We had written to Ms. Pavlicek and we persuaded her that we had learned how to take care of a rabbit and that we hoped she would trust us to take care of Olive. Olive is now in Room 101 and will be visiting with us for the next few weeks. Students will all have the opportunity to help care for Olive and we will all take turns being able to sit near Olive to complete work or read a book to her. We took a picture and were able to pat Olive and then we went up to the cafeteria and took a class picture in front of the 100 balloons.

We then went back to our classroom, had snack and read Cat in the Hat and Hedgehog's 100th Day of School. When snack was over we did our 100 second scribble and played Bingo with numbers up to 100! We danced and moved to a 100 song then it was time to go. We had a great day.
