We had a short week with MLK day off on Monday and Staff Development on Thursday we only had a three day school week. We managed to fit a lot into our week! We opened our Room 101 Post Office and students have been writing and mailing letters to each other in our classroom post office. This area is a new favorite. We have also been working on our procedural text using transition words for How to Build a Snowman. Hopefully we will get more snow and our 4th grade partners will be able to follow the kindergartners directions and build a snow person! We also completed Topic 7, Subtraction in math and started topic 8- More Addition and Subtraction. We are also working on our dictionaries, Valentine decorations, capital letters and our January Reading Challenge.
