R is for Robot
Our second in depth book study was on the book R is for Robot A Noisy Alphabet by Adam F. Watkins. We read this story every day. We colored a robot, made our own paper bag robot and had a mystery bag about the book. We learned more about questioning words. We completed two column notes and a top down web on the book. (These are components of our Keys to Literacy program). We also recorded expanded sentences. We worked on the question words where, when and what to create our expanded sentences. We did a lot or work and had a lot of fun with this book. Thank you to the parent readers who listened to the students read R is for Robot. Be sure to ask your child what their favorite part was and why it was their favorite part.
