Establishing Our Morning Routines

Here we are learning about our cubbies.
We all did a great job waiting for directions!
Mrs. Gordon helped us remember all the steps we needed for checking in for the day.
Checking in at the lunch chart.
Hand washing station.

Students are learning the routines very quickly. Everyone unpacked and settled in like experts.

Each day we have a Meeting in which the children greet each other in a different way.  Today we used a friendly handshake. Everyone seemed very comfortable and joined right in.  Today we practiced saying good morning to classmates by their first name.

Kindergarten Orientation 2015

Kindergarten Orientation

It was so nice to see all of you today at orientation.  We are looking forward to a great kindergarten year!  During our tours we took a moment to pose with our school secretary, Julie Gosselin.

Mrs. Parnell has sent a test email out to each family.  Please be sure to check for the email message and respond to let us know that we have your correct email address.  In addition, there is an attachment in the email message.  Double check the information about your student and send us any corrections so that we may print out a hard copy to have available.

Remember to send the GREEN communication folder to school every day starting Tuesday.   Tuesday is Red day!  If you have red clothes you can wear them to school!

Enjoy the weekend.  Be sure to get some rest.  We will be very busy next week!

Meet our school secretary

Room 101 friends met Pine Glen secretary, Mrs. Gosselin while touring the school this morning.

Amazing Summer Journal Winners!

Congratulations Liam and Kenzie!

Kindergarten Room 101 held a weekly summer journal challenge.  Both Liam and Kenzie wrote in their journal and nicely illustrated their pictures at least one time a week for the 10 summer weeks! Mrs. Hoyt and I are so proud of your summer writing efforts!  Keep up the great work and make your first grade teachers proud.

Colorful Clothing!

September 2015
Dear Room 101 Parents,

We want to let you all know that part of our ELA block will focus on a review of colors.  Mrs. Gordon and I will try to wear the “color of the day” for the first 9 days of school.  Your child is welcome to wear the “color of the day” too!  Please don’t feel like you need to go buy something. If your child has the colored clothes and if they would like to wear the color that would be great!
