To introduce Twitter we brought the students outside to listen to the birds communicate with each other. The students said the birds chirped or tweeted to each other. Mrs. Hoyt and Mrs. Parnell hope to tweet on the Twitter app to allow our students to experience more of a global perspective. We hope we are able to tweet and communicate with many other individuals and classrooms around the world and be able to share whatever we are learning at school.
We showed our students the tweets we sent out announcing that we were going to have a classroom Twitter account. We showed the students Mrs. Parnell's tweet deck and the students were surprised about how many different people we saw on the tweet deck!
After our initial introduction tweet Mrs. Floyd, Dillon's mom and Mrs. Keane, Owen M.'s Auntie Shana have already tweeted back to us! Thank you for your support. If you would like to communicate with us on Twitter you can find us @MrsParnellsKSs. Please follow us and tweet with us!
Listening to the birds tweet.
Watching and listening to the birds in the tree and birdhouse.
