This week we welcomed a new addition to our Room 101 Family. Emily Lovuolo, a senior at Burlington High School has joined our class for her Senior Internship. Miss L. will be with us until May 27th. She has been a wonderful addition to our class and the students have enjoyed getting to know her and working with her. Emily will be attending Merrimack College in the Fall majoring in Social Work. Emily attended Pine Glen as a student and many of her teachers are still here teaching at Pine Glen.
We had the eggs arrive on Monday and this week has been very exciting with all the hatching, growing and changing with the chicks. We also had a different schedule this week due to the 3-5 graders taking the MCAS. We had two specials on Tuesday- Art and Library and two specials on Wednesday- gym and guidance, and on Thursday and Friday we did not have a special. We had Discovery time in our classroom and we used our new kitchen area for the first time!
We also restructured our classroom and opened up new Discovery Centers- Our kitchen, lego table, reading nook and blocks. The kitchen and lego table were hot spots.
