More exciting chick news. When we arrived at school on Wednesday morning three more chicks had hatched. We had one more hatch during the school day. So far we have 5 boy chicks. They are all black with a little silver feathers on top of their heads. We had one chick not hatching correctly and Ms. P took it back to the science center to see if she could help it. We have one more egg in the incubator, but it did not hatch. We had the chicks out at our Morning Meeting on Thursday and everyone got a chance to hold a chick. We created our chick life cycle posters and talked about each stage of the chicken's life. Ms. P. surprised us with two more chicks. She brought us two yellowish chicks. One has stripes on his back and the only girl chick is yellow and reddish in color.
