We continue to work hard in Room 101. This week we started our Community Helper unit. We have been learning about professions that help the community. We also completed our Planting a Rainbow books, Mother's Day books and we worked on two emergent readers on Community Helpers and Plants. We have been sowing our seeds and tracking their progress in our science observation journal. The Science Center sent us caterpillars that we will watch them go through their metamorphosis then release them into nature. We are also tracking their progress through a different observation journal. We are doing A LOT of writing in the classroom. We also started Topic 14 in math and continue our work in Fundations and Heggerty. We watched the 4th and 5th graders in their band and chorus concert.
