Orange Day
Tuesday was orange day. We continued to work on our Counting, Color and Nursery Rhyme books. We illustrated Peter, Peter. We had our first ST Math iPad lesson with Mrs. Fortunado and Mrs. Sheppard, two of Burlington's Math Coaches. We also met JiJi the mascot for the ST Math program. We also went to Art with Ms. Fallon. Ms. Yu a kindergarten substitute and volunteer helped in Room 101 this morning. It was great to have her in to help us!
Yellow Day
Wednesday was yellow day. We also worked on our Color and Nursery Rhyme books, illustrating Jack and Jill Be Nimble. We met Mrs. Ardizzoni, one of the Town of Burlington's Technology Integration teachers. She came in to talk to us about how to take care of our iPads. She spent some time helping to acclimate us to the iPad and most especially the ClassLink platform and the Seesaw application. The students are awesome and learned to navigate the app very quickly! Students and teachers said it was a thumbs up experience.
Green and Blue Days
Thursday was blue day we worked on all our books and we focused on our Kindergarten News for our photos. Please see that post.
On Friday we had Blue Day. We also worked on our second academic app, Lexia. Some students were able to earn a Hoot card for working for 60 minutes in their ST Math app. Please see separate post. It was a BUSY first week in kindergarten.
