Highlights of the Week

We are always busy in Room 101. This week we completed our Magnet Books and read them. We read a lot of Push and Pull books focusing on force, motion, gravity and magnetism. We talked about pumpkins, did a couple Seesaw lessons on jack-o-lanterns and counting with pumpkins. We saw how pumpkins float and we cut a pumpkin open to see the cross section and then we colored and labeled a pumpkin cross section. We also voted on what our class jack-o-lantern should look like. Mr. Parnell's carving expertise will be challenged with what Room 101 students want our jack-o-lantern to look like. We worked on Topic 3 in math, numbers 6-10 and the letters f, n and m in Fundations and we used our letterboards for the first time. We also started creating our Scary books and did roll and stamp a scarecrow focusing on counting and stamping the correct number. We decorated our "party in the bag" bags and worked on the Kindergarten News.
