We had another busy week in kindergarten. We worked on our week long study of Brown Bear, Brown Bear. We read the book numerous times, we sequenced the story, color sorted, did a Seesaw activity, and played Brown Bear Bingo. We also made our our version of Brown Bear. Check out our slideshow.
We read and wrote the color words in our Nursery Rhyme books, and we read a couple high frequency word books.
We also learned about Apples, made our Apple Tree Through the Seasons book and we estimated how many seeds were in the different types of apples, Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Granny Smith and MacIntosh.
We also worked on completing Topic 1 in math numbers 0-5 and we practiced writing number 6-8. We worked hard on our iPad apps, Lexia, ST Math and Seesaw. We read many SEL books and Apple books this week. We read a Let's Find Out comparing apples and bananas and we read our Apple Tree Through the Seasons book on Friday. The books will come home on Monday. Please read this book with your child and see if they can find the rhymes in the book. We also completed our color study with a Color Walk.
