Week of Fun- Dr. Seuss and Read Across Pine Glen!

Read Across America! 

Read Across America is a week long celebration of our love for reading!

Friday, February 28th - Dr. Seuss introduction!- We started our week long unit today with a FUN introduction! Our 4th grade partners came down to play
Dr. Seuss games and learn more about Dr. Seuss’ books.

Monday, March 2nd -  “Cat in the Hat” We read the story Cat in the Hat. Dr. Seuss books were brought in by students and read with our
4th grade partners. We introduced our next Service Learning project,
our Read-a-thon, read books and played two rounds of Dr. Seuss Bingo.
Please see the information sent home on Monday about our Read-a-thon.

Tuesday, March 3rd- “Fox in Socks”- wear silly or mismatched socks.
Two socks, whose socks, How about some new socks?! - Room 101
students were awesome givers again today! We brought in 36 pairs of
socks to donate to the homeless in Boston. We played the hot potato
game at morning meeting and we saw all our mismatched and interesting
socks.

Wednesday, March 4th- “Wacky Wednesday” - Let’s get silly!  

Wear your clothes backwards, inside out, or mismatched.

Thursday, March 5th - “Sleep Book” Students are welcome to wear their
pajamas. 

Friday, March 6th -  We Read Across Pine Glen! We read ALL DAY long,
so we are sure your kindergartner will be tired today. They all did an
amazing job! We are so proud of them!

8:30 - 9:00 -  Library with Ms. Small

9:00 - 9:30 - Grade 4  - Mrs. Visocchi

9:30 - 10:00 - Grade 5 - Mrs. Hanafin

10:00 - 10:25  - Grade 2 - Ms. Anderson

10:30 - 11:30  - lunch/recess

11:30 - 12:00 -  Grade 1 - Mrs. Bourgeois 

12:00 - 12:30 -  Grade 3 - Mrs. Hayes
