This week Room 101 had the Kindergarten Hoot of the Week. Congratulations to Claire! She was caught being WISE and holding the door for others on the way to lunch. We also had many Quest certificate earners and a few ST Math percentage increases. We had some students turn in their at home reading charts for the month of December. Nice job, Room 101!
On Friday we got together with our 4th grade partners and had some FUN! We played the dreidel game, made tri-corn bead candy canes and we played Holiday Bingo! It was great to see the students have so much fun together.
The Kindergartners have done an amazing job on our Unit 4 CKLA Knowledge Domain. We did two science experiments, one on roots and one on stems. Then the students created their own diagram of a flower and labeled all the parts and were able to describe the parts function! We were quite impressed with their knowledge.
This week was another busy week in Kindergarten. We are just about complete with our Favorite Book projects. On Wednesday we wrote our scripts and practiced them and on Friday morning Mrs. A recorded our interviews in front of the green screen. Mrs. A was impressed with all of the students story element knowledge! Mrs. A will be working on putting all the interviews together into a video and we hope to watch it before break.
We also continued our Roots investigation in CKLA/Science unit. Our sunflowers are growing and we are recording what we notice in our observation journals. Next week we will do another science experiment with celery!
We had some students make their next percentage in ST Math and we had a couple students complete another Quest in Boost. Nice job!
