Keep up the super work Room 101!
On Tuesday we welcomed a new classmate. Shanvika joined our class. We are now a class of 18 students. We will update the class contact list and send out a new one including Shanvika's information. Room 101 students were very excited to welcome Shanvika and they have been teaching her all our class routines and rules. Shanvika is settling in nicely and is a terrific addition to our class.
It was a short week at school this week with only 2 1/2 days! We had our second November reward day and wore our PJ's and brought stuffed animals to school. We continued learning about the Continents and Recycling. We had a turkey scavenger hunt with our disguised turkeys. Room 101 students were very creative with this assignment. We LOVED all the disguised turkeys. Then we did a turkey directed draw. Again, we had such creative students! We continued working on Topic 5 in Math- Categorizing. We started out Holidays with light book and we made our December calendar pieces. On Tuesday we sang our Thanksgiving songs with the other kindergartners and on Wednesday we cheered on the 3rd, 4th and 5th grades at the Turkey Trot. Thank you to all the Room 101 families who donated food to the PG food drive benefitting Burlington's Food Pantry. We hope all our families have a very happy Thanksgiving.
