Innovation Day- Gingerbread!

Back on December 8th we read many different Gingerbread Stories with our 4th grade partners. We used the QBall to share similarities and differences among the books. We learned that we all enjoyed these stories and are excited to participate in our own gingerbread day! Today we had our Innovation day at Pine Glen and Mrs. Visocchi's 4th graders joined us for the morning. We made gingerbread cookies, gingerbread houses, foam gingerbread people, a gingerbread game and we played roll a gingerbread! We ended our time together with snack time and the Frosty the Snowman video.

It was an awesome morning and all of these gingerbread goodies along with many things created during the month of December went home today with the students in their giant snow people goody bags! We hope you enjoy going through this bag of treasures.

Polar Express Day

Today we had our annual Kindergarten Polar Express Day. The kindergartners were excited to wear their pajamas to school and have a stuffed animal friend join them. We started our day reading with our Parents and then we went to the cafeteria and listened to Mr. Lyons read the story The Polar Express. We then bought snacks and drinks at the cafeteria kitchen and we all enjoyed some hot chocolate. Next we went back to our classroom and did some fun activities. We made a train scene, tri-bead candy canes, the dreidel game, highlighted the news, did a Polar Express packet and finally a journal for our memory book about our special day. After lunch we watched part of the Polar Express movie! What a great day. Hopefully one that the kindergartners will remember!
