Kindergarten Writing Challenge Information

Please send in by June 12.

Use any paper to write your reflection.  OR you can use this form. Teachers will print

and deliver on June 10 or you may print it yourself. Please take a picture and email it

to your teacher.

Note to Parents:  It may be tempting but we ask you to encourage your child to put

their own thoughts on paper.  We would love to have authentic student work, completed

independently to share with teachers in grade 1.

Calls and Connections

While this year has not wrapped up as any of us would

have expected, we have made every effort to be open

and connected with students and families.  We would

like to end the year as we began.  There will be no

formal report cards but we assure you your children

are ready for the transition to summer and the next

year.  If parents would like to have a quick chat before

we head into summer, please contact Mrs. Parnell and

we will arrange a time to touch base and reflect on the

past few months and the kindergarten year.

Discussions With Our Children

Perhaps you are looking for ways to have discussions with your children about what is going on in our world.  Here are two read alouds offered to us by BPS staff. 

Listening to these stories together with your child may 

help initiate and direct your discussion.

Protect the Popsicle Challenge

Mr. Musselman joined our Google Meet and challenged the kindergartners to engineer a way to protect his popscicle. He has come up the the kindergarten Protect the Popsicle Challenge. We hope you will consider participating in this science challenge. We can't wait to see what the kindergartners come up with!
