Red Day

Monday was red day. Most students wore the color of the day. We started three books today!!! We read a red book, created a page in our own color book, did the Nursery Rhyme book page, created, the Queen of Hearts book page, and we started our counting book. We learned how to write the number 1 on the dry erase boards and worked on our first one page in our counting book. We did our Kindergarten News for the first time and we met baby echo,(an owl finger puppet that goes with our Fundations program) at morning meeting. We also had our first Music class with Mrs. Agati.

We completed 4 days!

Yea! We completed 4 days of Kindergarten. Mrs. Kearney was at the lead the past two days and she was lucky to have Mrs. Coutu assist her. Students have been busy learning lots of routines and new skills. Remember everyone is TIRED. Getting lots of rest and having down time this weekend will be important for all of us to be off to a great start for our first 5 day of school week! Mrs. Kearney was very busy teaching, so we don't have lots of photos to share from days 3 & 4, but know the class was very busy!

2nd Day of K!

 Our second day of school was another success. We did a great job remembering our new routines from yesterday. The kindergartners were so impressive with what they already remembered and we added a lot of new routines today. There are so many new things to learn in kindergarten! We are so proud of our students! We are off to a GREAT start!

Happy Birthday!

On our first day of school we were lucky to be able to celebrate two birthdays in Room 101. Alfarouq's birthday was on August 31st (our orientation day). He turned 5! Natalie turned 6 on September 1st! Alfarouq and Natalie were given crowns, certificates, a special birthday pencil and they got to choose a book from the birthday book bin. The class sang Happy Birthday to each of them!
