Nature Walk
On Wednesday we went on a nature walk with Ms. P from the Burlington Science Center. Ms. P. introduced us to living and non-living things along our nature walk. We saw some thing that were living- trees, insects, plants, chipmunks, birds, moss, bees, etc. We also saw some things that were non-living- rocks, litter, leaves, bridges, etc. We learned that things need to be able to move, breathe and grow to be living. This is a difficult concept for young children to grasp. We will be working on this concept throughout this year. Students should be able to tell you about a thing and then be able to prove to you how they know it is living or non-living
