Today Mrs. Hoyt reads us the very silly book The Book With
No Pictures by B.J. Novak. It’s a funny book that asks the reader
to say all sorts of silly things to prove that a book with only words
can be fun and entertaining!

Questions to discuss after listening to the story:
- What do you think a monkey voice would sound like?
- What silly word did you think was the funniest?
- Did you enjoy reading a book without pictures? Why or why not?
- Have you ever made up your own words with friends or family?
- If not give it a try!
- Can you draw pictures to go with the words in the book?
What does a Blork look like? How about a Bluurf? What about a
robot monkey or a blueberry pizzahead?
After listening to this silly story, try making a mask of your
favorite part or make all three. Do you want to be a booboo
butt, a robot monkey, or maybe a blueberry pizza head?
