Highlights from the Week of December 20th

We had a fun week of learning in Room 101 this week. With the excitement of the upcoming holiday season, the students had a lot of energy and we tried our best to keep them engaged and learning. On Monday we had JiJi and Penguin Day. We learned and explored a little about penguins!  What better way to celebrate ST Math than to learn a little more about JiJi’s friends! On Tuesday we had Snowmen, Coding, Arctic Animals and Outside Play. Mrs. Ardizzoni instructed us on a creating snowpeople glyphs. After recess, we will had Jenn Scheffer in to teach us about coding used paper coding materials and the Lightbot app on the iPad. After our Kindergarten special we went back outside to play with our other K friends. On Wednesday we went to the library to fit in choosing books before vacation. Then we had Snowmen and Arctic Animals Day. Ms. Scheffer was back in to code with us. This time using Dash and Go bot. The students also received their goody bags from the Room 101 Parents on Wednesday afternoon. They loved all the items inside. There is enough fun things to do in the bag to keep them busy at home for awhile. Thank you Amy & Jeremy for organizing these bags for us. Our students are so LUCKY! Mr. Lyons stopped by our room to read us a book, The Reader before we watched our movie, made candy canes and had our Party in the Bag.
