This was another short week due to no school on Thursday for Parent Teacher Conferences. Mrs. Parnell was completing assessments to share at conferences so she did not take that many photos this week.
The kindergartners continued working on their holiday books. We completed the Hanukkah and Christmas pages this week. We also made dotted dreidels and light bulb patterns. We worked more on our Reduce, Reuse, Recycle unit and we started Topic 6- Addition in our EnVision Math program. We learned about and practiced three letters this week, l, h and k. We also worked with our 4th grade partners on winter holidays Friday afternoon.
We read Jan Brett's book The Mitten, created a mitten, colored The Mitten animals and made a sequence of the the order the animals entered The Mitten. This preparation will get the students ready for our next class retell challenge and prepare the students for Ms. Pavlicek's Mitten presentation that will happen next week.
