This week Mason turned 6 on Monday. Happy Birthday Mason!
Sophia was the Kindergarten Hoot of the Week! Congratulations Sophia.
We had many students get 100% on their set 3 sight words. Way to go!
We also had many students earn Super Star certificates in Lexia and a few students earn their next ST Math percentage.
We also had some Hoot card earners! Nice work Room 101.
We met with our 4th grade partners again this week. We focused on our Let's Find Out about wants and needs. Then the students worked on a gingerbread craft and a mystery gingerbread project. It was a lot of fun. Next week we will get together to do some winter activities.
This week we had many students turn in their November read at home challenge papers! We also had a couple Lexia Superstars and many students make there next percentage point in ST Math. As a class we have made it to 50% complete with the ST Math program. Congratulations to all of our students who are working so hard!
Our most recent science unit was on Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. We analyzed our trash from snack time and we talked about how we could do a better job reducing, reusing and recycling. We read books about how to reduce, reuse and recycle and we watched videos about how to do this better too. The students then chose recycled items and then made them into something else! Just like Oscar the Grouch, we love trash! With the help of our 4th grade partners, students in room 101 had a wonderful time creating new items with the trash we collected. We made chairs, coin jars, binoculars, robots, maracas and fun toys!
