Gingerbread Day!

We have been working with our 4th grade partners on a mini unit on gingerbread. The first time we met for this project we read a Let's Find Out with them on gingerbread and we did a sequencing story for how to make gingerbread cookies.  The next time we created gingerbread glyphs and read gingerbread stories with them. We learned that we all enjoyed these gingerbread stories and are excited to participate in our own gingerbread day! Today we had our Gingerbread day and Mrs. Visocchi's 4th graders joined us for the morning. We made gingerbread cookies, gingerbread houses, foam gingerbread people, a gingerbread game, we played roll a gingerbread, colored a gingerbread baby and read a few more gingerbread stories! We ended our time together with snack time and the Frosty the Snowman video.

It was an awesome morning and all of these gingerbread goodies along with many things created during the month of December went home today with the students in their giant snow people goody bags! We hope you enjoy going through this bag of treasures.
