Science Experiments with Mr. Musselman

On Tuesday, Mr. Musselman form the Burlington Science Center came to our class and shared some science experiments with us. We had 4 stations of science exploration! Mr. Musselman helped us with an electricity station. We showed our holiday spirit, made closed circuits and tested materials against the electrical owl to see which items conducted electricity (metal items), and which items were insulators and the conductors lit up the owls eyes and the insulators did not.

Mrs. Kearney lead the instant snow experiment, which was a class favorite. The students added water  to some magic powder with an eye dropper and watched it grow and expand.

Mrs. Peckham our parent helper helped the students be geologists and compared different rocks and minerals.

Mrs. Parnell and Mr. Donoff helped the students with the Kibo coding robots. Many students were successful implementing a code and then were able to watch Kibo demonstrate the code they created.

It was a busy, fun and engaging morning! Thank you Mr. Musselman for spending the morning with us.
