It is time for our next retell challenge!
Recently students read the Ukrainian Folktale, The Mitten.
We enjoyed Jan Brett’s version and illustrations.
Today we sent home the information needed for your child to do
the retell. We reread the story, we sequenced the animals, did
a comprehension paper to reinforce our knowledge and practiced

We will be encouraging students to use the mitten and animals they
colored themselves or the color printed mitten and animals to retell
the story to their families.

Please consider video recording your child’s efforts and emailing the
videos to me. We will share the videos in class and post them on the
blog for all to see. If you decide to share, please send your videos
by Monday, January 13th.
