We completed our Teen Number book and started two new books- Leaping Leprechauns Where Are They Now and the Number Rumba book. The last set of high frequency words were sent home this week- the number words, zero- ten. We had a Room 101 graduate, Eddie from first grade traded in Dojo points to be able to come down and read a book to our students. Eddie was asked a lot of questions about first grade. We had another 1st grader trade in Dojo points to come down to ready to our class. Jananhi from Room 106 did a wonderful job reading us a leprechaun book. We continue to work on Topic 9 in math and started topic 10 decomposing teen numbers. We started using counting sheets with dines and pennies to help us count and recognize teen numbers. We also read and talked about the importance of taking care of your teeth. February was National Children's Dental Health Month. We practiced our teen numbers using our Math Stacker magnets. This was a lot of fun.
