New Animal Visitors!

Ms. Pavlicek brought us some new animals to care for and observe this week. We now have a toad and three frogs visiting our classroom. These animals are in the amphibian family. They hatch from eggs. They are first tadpoles then they grow into frogs. This animal family is unique because tadpoles, baby frogs live in the water and breath with gills and adult frogs breath with lungs. As adults frogs can still swim but they breathe air. The students were impressed by these animals and have been spending time observing them. It was exciting for everyone to watch them eat crickets on Wednesday.
