Butterfly Release!

Our caterpillars completed their metamorphosis and we released 3 butterflies on Monday and 4 butterflies today! We have been observing the caterpillars as they ate and became big caterpillars. Then we watched them hang in a J shape and turn into a chrysalis and finally hatching into butterflies. We have been journaling our observations throughout this process. These journals will be sent home tomorrow. The students will complete a life cycle worksheet to show their knowledge tomorrow.
