Weather
We have been working on our weather unit all year. Tracking the temperature, types of weather, the different seasons and what we could do if we had an outdoor party in each season. This week we revisited weather and the students explored the Marco Polo weather app on the iPads, they dressed paper dolls according to what type of weather and temperature they chose. We also did an ice in the sun and ice in the shade experiment. We read about different types of weather and how to make juice pops. We also looked at many different shade structures and planned how we should create our own shade structure to protect the freeze pop. This engineering challenge will take place on Tuesday. Mr. Musselman will come to PG along with many parent volunteers to help the students collaboratively create a shade structure to protect their groups freeze pop. If the weather cooperates we hope to test the structures on Wednesday! This project will be a culminating event for our year end weather unit!
