Community Helpers

Today Mr. Mailhot, Gabby's dad came in to tell him about his police officer community helper job. Mr. Mailhot talked about how he helps keep the community safe and all about the equipment he uses at his job. He brought his police cruiser to school and all the students were able to look inside and Gabby turned on the lights for all her classmates to see. Mr. Mailhot also brought all the students police badges and note pads. The students had many questions that Mr. Mailhot answered for us. We now have a better idea of what police officers do to help keep the community safe. Thank you Mr. Mailhot for taking the time to come into to talk to us about your job. We are still working on our Community Helper book. We would welcome other parents who have community helper jobs to come in to Room 101. Just let Mrs. Parnell know and we will get you on the schedule!
