Week 2 Highlights

We had a successful second full week of kindergarten. We are so proud of our kindergartners. All students are trying very hard being the best students they can be and learning a lot in the process. 

Using our letter boards for the first time. Remembering to use an alligator grip
and sitting up tall like a writer.




Practicing line writing on the different lines- sky, plane, grass and worm.
Then writing number 1s.

Math lesson- comparing solid and flat shapes.

Mrs. B will be joining us for math on Mondays. She worked on a lesson with
circles and triangles.

Mrs. Kearney's math station was ST Math- a kindergarten favorite.

Fine motor practice- feeding the animals.

Practice writing letter t- our first Fundations letter.

Msr. Fortunato and her friends came to our room to do an ENumeracy assessement.

We did math stations in the hall when the math assessments were being done
in our classroom.

We used the polydrons to create 3D shapes.

We celebrated our first birthday in kindergarten on Friday.

Christopher shared his birthday poster during morning meeting.

We tried out the Qball for the first time. Everyone liked hearing their voice
over the lightspeed system.
