The Alphabet Mystery by Audrey Wood and Bruce Wood
sets you on an adventure to find a missing letter from the
alphabet. All the letters need to work together to solve
this mystery!
Join Mrs. Kerr as she reads this exciting story
Find treasures around your house for Charley’s Mom that start
with each letter of the alphabet. What will you find?
Alphabet Sort: Alphabet Sort is a simple, fun and engaging hands-on
literacy activity children can play. See link from Learning4kids.net

Get creative with this next activity:
Make your own Alphabet Paint Roller by sticking foam letters onto
a large cardboard roll. Children can then place the Alphabet Paint
Roller onto a tray of paint, roll and print the letters onto to white
paper to transfer the letter shapes.Next, design your own stand
up alphabet. Make sure none of the letters are “missing”!
Stand Up Alphabet: The Stand Up Alphabet is one of my
favorite activities here on learning4kids! Once you have made
your own set, you can use them for a range of literacy activities!
Have fun with salt and letters!
A Rainbow Salt Tray: Why would you need crayons, textas,
pencils and paper to draw when you can have more fun with a
Rainbow Salt Tray?
Find the missing letters in this hide and seek activity:
Alphabet Hide & Seek: Also taken from learning4kids.net.
The challenge and anticipation of searching for something
brings so much fun to learning your alphabet letters! The
Hide and Seek Letter Hunt involves hiding the letter pairs
around the house and your child goes around finding them.
Singing is a great way to learn new things!
Listen to the letters and sounds of the alphabet
Keep your body in shape and learn your letters at the same time.
Be sure to think some good thoughts!
Today’s Chant:
Good, better, best.
Never let it rest.
Until your good is better,
And your better is your best!
