Community Helpers - Police and May 13 - Read Aloud - Chopsticks

Today we learn about police officers.
See the slideshow embedded below.

Enjoy today’s read aloud and challenges!

In the book Chopsticks by Amy Krouse Rosenthal, friends
learn to be strong and learn new things while they are apart
as well as appreciate all the new things they can do and
share together.

Do you have a best friend? What do you like to do together?
Have they ever gone away on vacation or moved far away from
you?  What new things did you learn about yourself while they
were away?  True friendships allow both of you to grow while
together and apart. You can be friends and have different
adventures or interests. Write a letter to your best friend
telling them all the reasons you love being together
and all the things you enjoy doing with each other. Also, let
them know some of your interests that might be different or
experiences you have had without them that you would like to
share.

Think about what makes a good friendship. Do you need trust,
kindness, other ideas? Enjoy this video and make some

Do you like to make music?  Listen to chopsticks being played

Be sure to think some good thoughts!
Today’s Chant:

Kind hearts
Kind words
Kind voices

Today is a good day to have a good day
